Two Teenage Girls and a Baby Injured in Birmingham Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Two teenage girls and a baby were shot this afternoon on the front porch of a Birmingham home, according to police and witnesses.
A witness told AL.com a group of teens were on the front porch of a home in the 2700 block of 35th Avenue North when he heard multiple shotgun blasts.
Birmingham police Lt. Sean Edwards said a 15-year-old girl was shot in the leg but is expected to recover.An officer at the scene said two teen girls and a baby were injured in the shooting but the injuries were not life-threatening.
Witnesses said a woman ran across the street yelling, "They shot the baby!"
