DOTHAN POST --  A two-vehicle crash Friday, June 24, has claimed one life and injured two others. Edna Scruggs Hudson, 76, of McKenzie was severely injured when the 2000 Dodge Caravan in which she was a passenger was struck by a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Hudson, who was not using a seat belt, was transported to Georgiana Hospital, where she died a short time later. The two injured were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash occurred at 1:43 p.m. on Alabama 55 near the 48 mile marker, one-half mile west of McKenzie. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
