Two Vehicle Crash has Claimed the life of a Greenville Man

DOTHAN POST – A two-vehicle crash on Tuesday, June 16, has claimed the life of a Greenville man and injured two others. Daniel Ray Solomon, 33, was killed when the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee he was driving collided head-on with a 2002 Nissan Altima driven by Whitney Lauryn Wright, 23, of Andalusia. Solomon, who was not using a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Covington County Coroner Norman Hobson. A passenger in Solomon’s car and Wright were both air lifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for treatment of their injuries. The crash occurred at 8:57 p.m. on Covington County 107 three miles south of River Falls. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
