United States Marshal's and Federal Protective Service In Dothan

DOTHAN:  This morning North Foster and Troy Street at the United States Federal Courthouse you will see the building with Federal Protective Service Police Officers and United States Marshall’s around the building.

United States Federal Judge Myron Thompson is in Dothan at the Dothan Office of the United States Federal Courthouse to strike a jury in the case United States verses Tim Turner.

Turner has multiple Federal criminal offenses against  him.  Turner is reported from Ozark Alabama and is reported to be a part of the "Sovereign Citizen" movement. This movement does not believe they are subject to the laws of the City, County, State or Federal as every other citizen. While I can not explain in detail ( because I do not understand all of it ) they believe the government is a private corporation and they are not subject to their laws.

After the jury is struck from persons who reside in this area of the Middle District of Alabama, United States Federal Judge Myron Thompson will actually hold the trial in Montgomery Alabama.

It is unknown how long jury selection will take place.
