1 p.m. Must have a mountain dulcimer, no experience necessary. Free with paid gate admission. Held first Saturday of each month.
SEPTEMBER 9, OCTOBER 14, NOVEMBER 11 • REPTILE FEEDING
4 p.m. Interpretive Center Classroom. Watch park staff feed the snakes and learn why these animals are important to the environment. Free with paid gate admission. Held second Sunday of each month.
SEPTEMBER 20 • LOW COUNTRY BOIL
Annual fundraiser featuring food, music by Rolling in the Hay, silent auction and wagon rides. Advance tickets required. Held in the Stokes Activity Barn at Landmark Park. Deadline to order tickets is Sept. 13.
SEPTEMBER 25 • THE LIFE AND WORK OF THE HONEYBEE
Through three different learning stations students will explore honeybee communication and life cycle, honey production and harvesting, pollination and the hive environment. This program will provide the opportunity to watch a beekeeper work a real hive of bees and taste the freshly gathered honey. Cost: $6 per student; teachers/aides FREE; one chaperone per 10 students FREE. Extra chaperones pay student fee. Homeschools must register through the group coordinator. Program Length: 3 hours (9 a.m.-noon) Suggested Grade Level: 2nd-12th. Preregistered school groups only.

9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Registration required. $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Limited to participants ages 12 and older, with a maximum of 20 participants. Bring camera, extra batteries, the camera manual, a clean media card and a sacked lunch and drink. Call 334-794-3452 to register. Learn how to properly use the camera manual, identify 3 elements of an acceptable photograph, identify the settings of the Camera’s mode or menus and elements of basic composition.

Visit the pumpkin patch and enjoy many other fall-related activities such as corn pulling and cotton picking. OCTOBER 6 • WIREGRASS ANTIQUE AND COLLECTOR CAR SHOW
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
One of the largest car shows in the Wiregrass. Approximately 200 cars on display ranging from “T” Models to custom classics. Presented by Wiregrass Antique and Collector Car Club. Adults, $5; kids, $3; Park Members, free.
OCTOBER 26-28 • LANDMARK PARK QUILT SHOW
Held in conjunction with Wiregrass Heritage Festival. Stokes Activity Barn. View over 100 antique and contemporary quilts. Exhibits, juried show, guest speakers and more. Free with paid gate admission. Special display of 1930s era quilts.

OCTOBER 27 • WIREGRASS HERITAGE FESTIVAL
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Learn how peanuts were harvested in the Wiregrass a half-century ago. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of cane grinding, syrup making, butter churning, basket weaving, soap making and other traditional farm activities. Plus, food, music and antique tractors and farm equipment. Adults, $8; Seniors and Active Military, $6; Kids, $4; Park Members, free.
NOVEMBER 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 • LIVING HISTORY
Experience living and working on a Wiregrass Farmstead in the early 1900s withd hearth cooking, gardening and sewing, to wood splitting, fire building and animal care. Costumed in period dress, students will be divided into small groups in order to participate in the different workstations. This half-day program will conclude with lunch in the Waddell house prepared by the students. Limited to a maximum of 30 students and a minimum of 20. The fee is $12 per student. Teachers are free. No chaperones required. Homeschools must register through the group coordinator. Program Length: 4 hours (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) Suggested Grade Level: 3rd-8th. Preregistered school groups only.
