UPDATE 1:35am w/Photos: Smoke and Flames Fill the Air

Ashford Fire, Rescue, and PD and Cowarts Fire were dispatched to a structure fire with flames visible on North Rocky Creek Rd. Upon arrival, units confirmed that flames were visible. As soon as fire trucks arrived, firefighters quickly pulled hoses and started fighting the fire and hooking up to the hydrant. The residence is believed to be unoccupied.
North Rocky Creek Rd in Ashford is completly shut down at this time.
UPDATE 12:05am: The fire is under control at this time, firefighters are putting out "hot spots".
Pansey Fire, Gordon Fire, Ashford Rescue, and Houston County Deputies were dispatched to a possible structure fire in Pansey. Upon arrival, no smoke or flames visible. Pansey Fire has disregarded all backup and are investigating what is causing a smoke smell.
UPDATE 1:35am: The occupant of the residence was home, asleep when the fire started. He did make it out of the house with only a minor injury to the arm. Red Cross has been called to assist the resident.
The fire has been completely extinguished and all units have returned to service.
