UPDATE @ 8:30 AM. BREAKING NEWS: Burglary with a Possible Kidnapping Just Occured

HOUSTON COUNTY: Houson County deputies are responding to 1341 Hwy 103 to a report of a burglary with possible kidnapping. Reports are a white male made entry through a back door and took a 4 moth old child. The suspect is reported to have been last seen runing North bound with the child. The suspect is known to have benn driving either a gray Escourt or blue F-150 and is possibley heading toward Florida. The suspect is Michael McGown.

The call is in reference to child custody and the suspect is the father. Units are searching the area for the suspect. If anything or seen anything you are asked to contact the Houston COunty Sheriff's Office at 334-677-4808.

Houston County Sheriff Deputy Hendrickson  stopped the suspect just inside Geneva County. The child was with the suspect and is safe.

Investigator with the Houston County Sheriff's Office is on scene at this time. Due to the quick responce of deputies and law enforcement from Geneva County and Slocomb the suspect was quickly taken into custody with out incident. The mother and child are both safe. Everyone involved deserves a GOOD JOB for the quick action and safe return of all involved.
