Update: A Report of a Suspicious Package Found at the Medical Center

This morning workers clean out a closet found what appeared to be a suspicious package. Employees contacted the police and the Bomb Squad was dispatched to the Medical Center. Sources say; inside the box appeared to be some pipe bomb materials. On the side of caution authorities are treating it as the real thing.

No more information is available at this time. The Houston County Sheriff's Office is also on scene assisting the DPD Bomb unit anyway they can. We will update when more information comes available.

Update:

After checking out the suspicious package, it was determined to be nothing. It was a good practice run for bomb squad members.
