Update at 11:50PM: Breaking News: Possible Drowning in Henry County

Units from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene of a possible drowning at Hardridge Creek on Lake Eufaula. Rickey is on scene and will update as more information comes available.
Update:
Sea Tow is on scene and Regional Land and Water Rescue is enroute to assist with the search.

Houston County Rescue is also is enroute.

Other Units on the scene are Screamer Fire, Abbeville Rescue, Army Corp of Engineers, Henry Co EMA, Houston Co. EMA and Sheriff Will Maddox. Sea Tow has a diver in the water.
Reports are a 47 year old male attempted to swim across Hardridge Creek and went under approximately halfway across. Divers from the Houston County Rescue Unit and Regional Land and Water Rescue have arrived and are helping with the search.
Alabama Game and Fish are also on scene at this time.

Rescue workers have located the body of the drowning victim. Henry County Coroner Derek Wright is on the scene.
Georgia Department of Natural Resources assisted on the scene.

Henry County Coroner Derek Wright has identified the drowning victim as 47 year old Michael Stowe.
Stowe is from Columbia.
Multiple agencies were on the scene. Just after it happened, Clark Matthews of Dothan - Houston County EMA and Seth Goree of Dothan were quick on the scene. Lee Padgett and Chase Pynes of SeaTow were first on the scene. Members of Corp of Engineers, Henry County Sheriff Department, Screamer Fire, Alabama Game and Fish, Georgia Game and Fish, Houston County Rescue, Henry County Rescue, Shoterville Volunteer Fire, Abbeville Rescue, Regional Land and Water Rescue, Ronnie Dollar of Henry County EMA , Sheriff Will Maddox and Coroner Derek Wright were all on the scene.
