Chad and I are still elated over the work that was accomplished with our amazing team of volunteers on Saturday, August 13th. We were blown away by the number of people that participated. I’ve attached a team photo after we completed the project. Mrs. Clark was so thankful and I think a bit speechless after surveying all we were able to complete.
We haven’t met our goal for fundraising but we are praying that God will meet those needs! There is still time to make a tax free donation to: https://bothhands.org/project/hart-6074
All funds donated go directly to offset our adoption expense. For those that might not know, a private adoption ranges anywhere from $33k to $50k. In addition to this expense is the travel and lodging to the birth state where we will be for a minimum of 7 to 10 days. People can read more about our journey at www.hartfamilyadoption.weebly.com.
We know this is a wonderful way to help both the orphan (raise funds for our adoption expense) and the widow and we were blessed to have been a part of such an awesome project. The collective response from volunteers on Saturday is that they received a blessing being able to be a part of such a worthwhile service project. It has inspired others in our community and church to make this a part of their outreach services on an ongoing basis.
Also, we heard on Saturday that there is another couple in Enterprise, AL, that is interested in participating in their own Both Hands fundraiser. We were so excited to hear that news and will share our great experience with them!
