UPDATE: Houston County Hit Hard by Car Thefts

HODGESVILLE: Within the last 12 hours there has been a reported four vehicle either stolen or attempted to be stolen in the Hodgesville area. We reported the first one yesterday on Cottonwood Road near the Pecan Park area. As of 8:00 am this morning three more were either stolen or attempted to be stolen. One was on Harper Joy, the next in the 6000 block of Hodgesville Road and one on Eddins Road has been reported.
Houston County Sheriff’s Investigators are think they have a suspect but do to the on-going investigation they are not releasing any names at this time. The do ask that everyone especially in the Hodgesville Area be vigilant and make sure you lock your vehicles. I have just learned that a possible fifth vehicle may have stolen 24 hours prior to the one on Cottonwood road.
Everyone needs to be on the lookout for anything that looks out of place in your area. If you see something suspicious you are asked to call the Houston County Sheriff’s Office at 334-677-4808.

Sheriff Deputies have located and recovered two of the stolen vehicles, The vehicle were both found in the same area.
