Update: Motor Vehicle Accident With Entrapment Reported

DOTHAN:  Dothan Police and Dothan Fire are on the scene in the 2500 block of Murphy Mill Road to a serious/critical motor vehicle accident. Reports are entrapment and a vehicle overturned.

As multiple police/fire/ambulance responded to the accident the first unit on the scene has reported a vehicle, a Jeep, is overturned. Emergency responders report that by standers have pulled the person that was trapped from the overturned vehicle and there is no entrapment. Emergency responders have downgraded from serious/critical injuries to moderate injuries.

Dothan Fire Battalion Chief has cancelled Truck 3 which is under the command of Dothan Fire Sgt. Eben Matthews. The fire Truck 3 is a truck with specialized extrication equipment. As the units arrived and determined no entrapment they cancelled Sgt. Matthews response.

No one was entraped as first reported, both drivers escapped injury and walked away with just scashed.
