DOTHAN:  Multiple Dothan Police and Dothan Fire are on the scene of a death where a male subject was found dead in the swimming pool.

The residence is on Cameila Drive in Dothan.

Dothan Police are investigating. No foul play is expected, preliminary information is that it is a natural death.

UPDATE NO 1 @ 11:25 AM

The homeowner found the male subject in the swimming pool. It was a friend that would come over swimming in the pool. Dothan Police Crimse Scene Investigation UNit and Criminal Investigators are on the scene conducting an investigation. Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd is responding to the scene.

No foul play is expected at this time.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd has identified the death victim was 52 year old David Patton. Mr. Patton was a neighbor to the residence with a swimming pool. He routinely would come over and go swimming in the pool.

The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences will do a medical examination to determine the exact cause of death. Preliminary investigation indicates drowning, possibly secondary to a medical issue.

No foul play is suspected.

Mr. Patton is beleived to have died last night and was found by the homeowner this morning. Mr. Patton lived alone.
