HOUSTON COUNTY:   At 5:58 AM Houston County Sheriff Communications Center sounded the alarm - motor vehcile accident, one vehicle roll over, 10000 block of 84 West.

The accident is near Ray Dean Farm Equipment.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies were first on the scene and advised there was entrappment.

Wicksburg Rescue and Bay Springs Fire were the primary dispatched units. When responding Bay Springs Fire was advised there was entrapment they requested Wicksburg Fire to respond with extricatrication equipment.

The injured is not beleived to be life threatening, complaints with leg injuries.

UPDATE NO 1 @ 6:15 AM

Wicksburg Rescue has just left the scene enroute to Flowers Hospital, running emergency.

Involved on the scene - Bay Springs Volunteer Fire, Wicksburg Volunteer Fire, Wicksburg Volunteer Rescue, Houston County Sheriff Department and Alabama State Troopers.

UPDATE NO 2 @ 6:22 AM

Wicksburg Rescue has been diverted from Flowers Hospital to SAMC. The reason is, the accident victim possible needing neuro doctors. Between the two Dothan hospitals we only have 3 Neuro doctors. They are on retainer with SAMC and only work Flowers Hospital one weekend a month.

The greatest need in our community is the recruitment of more neuro doctors!!!! You never know when you will have a head injury and need one...

This roll over is the third one in three days worked by Bay Springs Fire and Wicksburg Volunteer Fire and Rescue. Highway 84 is being re-named - Wicksburg International Speedway.

A Deputy was in front of Ray Dean Auction assisting a motorists with a flat tire when the wreck occured. He heard the sound of the vehicle rolling over and without hesitation called dispatch and advised his location and the type of call.

UPDATE From Reader: In your Rollover accident article you wrote that the the neuro docs were on retainer with Medical Center. This is not the case. Dr. Becker is exclusively working at Flowers Hospital, but only works certain weeks/ weekends etc. Dr. Woodham and Voss are exclusive to Medical Center. Please correct your misquote
