UPDATE NO 3
All emergency crews worked together on this scene. Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams also responded to the scene and assisted. Dothan Fire responded to Ashford Dothan Fire Engine 4 ( Southside ) and Dothan Fire technical Rescue truck. Ashford Fire, Ashford Rescue and Cowarts Fire were on the scene. Dothan/Houston County EMA Director Clark Matthews and EMA Steve Carlisle responded.
When something like this happens emergency crews band together and work for the common good of the patients. In this accident there were two young people in the accident that GOD was with. To have an impact with a train and receive non life threatening injuries, they were blessed.
Houston County Sheriff Deputy McKinney, Poore, Pike, and Lt. Anderson responded. Sheriff Lt. Jeff Carlile, who was off duty, responded to assist.
Alabama State Trooper Charles Starling was on the scene.
No where to be found on the scene was Ashford Mayor Rusty Burgess or Councilman Ronnie Whitehead. Dothan Fire used no boundries and responded help, including Dothan Fire Chief Williams. But volunteers, unlike Mayor Burgess and Councilam Whitehead understand life is far more important.
Thanks to the emergency responders.
Thanks to Jeffery Haddan for some of the pictures. Ryan Brunson, Terry Stokes, Matt Boster and Rickey Stokes contributed to this article.
