At this point, since going up on Morgan's pain meds last week, we are able to control her pain. Mainly, that means she sleeps, but that is ok. I would rather her sleep, than hurt. She was having extreme pain with her leg. It was so difficult to take her to the bathroom and see her hurt, so we decided to put a catheter in. This was done this past Wednesday and it has helped tremendously not having to move her. Also, her vision has been affected by the tumor. For whatever reason (nerve damage/weakness), she can not open her eyelids. She tries to open them with her fingers, but her vision is very blurry so she keeps them shut all the time. This has been very tough to watch and adjust to.
I still know without a shadow of a doubt that the Great Physician can reach down and touch this baby and heal her instantly, but I also know we serve a sovereign God. We cling to our faith in Him, knowing He created Morgan and He loves her more than we do. He is still in control, He is still power, and He is very present. Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."
Thank you always for your prayers! Please pray for Morgan's emotional state. Having her vision taken away is so hard for her. Continue to pray that her pain is controlled. Also, thank you for lifting me, David, and Dylan up. We need and feel your prayers!
