Back home!

Well, after an eventful week, we are back home for a couple of days. Morgan ended up staying in the hospital from Tuesday night to Friday morning. That's not exactly what we had planned, but there was a reason. Morgan's counts came up, but went back down during the week. Since she is over 2 weeks out from her last chemo, I would guess it was the radiation that was affecting her counts. We didn't have this issue 2 years ago with radiation, but her body has been through a lot already with the more intensive chemo and surgery. We thank God for bringing us through this past week!
We go back to Birmingham Sunday evening for early radiation on Monday and then to clinic to get her bloodwork checked to see if it is high enough to get chemo. Next week is her next scheduled round of chemo and it is a 5-day treatment. Her platelets look fine for chemo, but her ANC has to be above 750. When we left the hospital yesterday, it was 600. Please pray for Morgan and her body next week as she will receive radiation daily along with chemo each day (if counts are good). We are not sure what to expect, but after this past week, we will take each day as God gives it to us and praise Him for the rain and the rainbows!
Speaking of rainbows, we were able to go to Enterprise Friday night and see Corbyn get crowned Homecoming Queen! We were so blessed to be able to be there and see her and her family! They are so precious and we are thankful we were able to be there. Isn't that a beautiful picture of them? If you click on the picture, you can see the entire picture and Corbyn's crown! Also, Corbyn found out this past week that she is finished with chemo. The doctors all made the decision to stop chemo and not give her the last few treatments. Her bone marrow has been through so much and they thought it would be in her best interest to stop chemo. Please pray for Corbyn and her family as they adjust to life without chemo and that God would continue to heal her body!
Dylan has Fall Break next week, so he and David are planning to come to B'ham Wednesday and be with us. That will be so nice to all be together - even if it's in the hospital!
Thank you for your prayers! May God be glorified and His amazing power and love be displayed for others to be drawn to Him!
Serving Him,
Mitzi
