In addition to the charges filed against Klemptner and Elliot on Wednesday, Investigators have now also charged them with multiple counts of burglary, theft and breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Investigators say, prior to Elliot and Klemptner’s attempt at burglarizing the Columbia Highway “Hobo Pantry” store, they broke into a vehicle and building at the “Dixie Fence Company” located at 122 Loftin Road, where they took several items. The two then went to “Stokes Floor Covering” located at 4064 Ross Clark Circle, and unlawfully entered an enclosed trailer on the property and took several power tools. Also taken from Stokes Floor Covering was the pick-up truck used to ram the Hobo Pantry during the Wednesday morning burglary.
The additional charges will be: Two counts of Burglary Third Degree, two counts of Unlawfully Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and Theft of Property First Degree. Bonds on all charges have been set for both Elliot and Klemptner and will total $90,000.00 each.
