UPDATE: Tractor trailer fire, I-85 NB near Shorter causing standstill

SHORTER, AL (WSFA) -


Motorists traveling on I-85 northbound say traffic is at a standstill after Troopers say a tractor trailer caught fire near the Shorter area.


According to Corporal Jess Thornton motorists should avoid the area at this time. Both lanes are blocked on I-85 northbound near mile marker 20, which is near the Shorter exit, exit 22.
