DOTHAN: 6:15 AM. Dothan 911 just dispatched a armed robbery off Headland Avenue.
A black male suspect with a shotgun wrapped in a black t shirt robbed a subject.
Dothan Police have K-9 on the ground searching for suspect. They are near Headland and Pine Street at this time.

Dothan Police K-9 apprehended suspect in the 200 block of Headland Ave.

The actual armed robbery occured at HOBO Pantry on North Oates and Powell Street. Dothan Police were swiftly on the scene with day and night shift officers.
Dothan K-9 quickly deployed and suspect tracked to the 200 block of Headland Avenue. The suspect resisted and the K-9 Officer and other officers apprehended the suspect.
The suspect was extremely disorderly cussing police. Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance called to the scene.
The suspect was treated by medics but transported to SAMC by police. The suspect kept mouthing to police to "carry me to 210". That is the address of Dothan Police.
Well sir, this is a felony. You will be carried to 901, which is the county jail when they finish with you at 210.
