DOTHAN:   Within 30 seconds of dispatch Dothan Police on the scene of a burglary in progress in the 3400 block of Denton Road.


Within 30 seconds of dispatch Dothan K-9 Officer Moody was on the scene. Moody's K-9 partner has been deployed in the residence.


Dothan and Houston County Sheriff Deputies have the residence surrounded.

Dothan Police Cpl. Evans has directed communications to return to normal radio traffic. We assume from the talk on the radio that Officer Moody's K-9 partner did not apprehend anyone. That means no one was in the residence when police arrived. Had their been, Moody's K-9 would have had latched onto them!!!!


Very proud of the response. When Dothan Police 911 dispatched the call, it was 15 seconds or less that Officer Moody was on the scene.


Dothan Police are investigating further.
