DOTHAN:   Since 10:40 AM Dothan Police have been on the scene of Sweetwater Apartments in Dothan. Multiple Dothan Police units are there to include Dothan Police Major Steve Parrish.

Due to the sensitive nature Dothan Police have asked me to sit on the details at this time. We will update.

The call at Sweetwater is that of a deceased person. UNOFFICIALLY it is my understanding the deceased is a female.

Dothan Police have transported a male subject to Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division for further questioning.

Dothan Police, as with any agency, is investigating the case as a murder. UNOFFICIALLY it is my understanding the case could be a self inflicted death and not a murder. But you are only on the scene once so Police are working the case as a murder until the investigation proves different.

Dothan Police Crime Scene Tech's are on the scene. Dothan Police have crime scene tape around the apartment.

Dothan Police Criminal Investigators are working to get all the facts together to determine exactly what is going on.

We held the story for a few because a vehicle was being looked for. That BOLO has been cancelled.

When we learn more information we will update.

Still no official word on this case from Dothan Police. Last I was aware, about 5 PM, one person was still at Dothan Police Criminal Investigation for questioning. Multiple Criminal Investigators from Dothan Police still out working on this case.

No additional information or name of victim. No official confirmation if murder or self inflicted.

The name of the victim has not been released at t his time. No additonal information as to the manner of death at this time.
