DOTHAN:     Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Police, Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance to the 1500 block of Westgate Parkway to a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.

The 1500 block of Westgate is just off Montgomery Highway in front of the new Comfort Inn.

Dothan Police Sgt. Rice has ordered Westgate Parkway closed at this location and called for Dothan Traffic CRASH Investigators.

At this time I do not know the extent of injuries. However for Sgt. Rice to call the CRASH Team the injuries must be serious.

There is a fatality on the scene of the wreck.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd has been notified to respond to the scene.

The victim appears out of state so name of victim not released pending notification of family.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd has released the name of the victim in Saturday evenings fatality. Corner Byrd said the victim is 87 year old Norton Wolf of Longboat Key Florida.
