Tonight I have had two phone calls from people who have gotten phone calls from people who have been called in reference to a bail bonding scam.

The persons are calling posing as bail bondsman telling people their loved one is in jail. They are telling people they should give them their credit card number in order to pay a cash bond to get their loved one from jail.

This is going on in the Dothan / Houston County area.

In the last few minutes I have received two telephone calls from the same issue and different people.

DO NOT fall for the scam.

Some of the calls have said the people are in Montgomery in jail and have cash bonds.

This scam has occurred before. Use caution.

I just received the third phone call concerning this scam. I have asked them to call the police and report the scam.

AGAIN, do not fall for this scam.
