DOTHAN:  Dothan Police and Dothan Fire responding to Bayshore Street and Lake Street vicinity. There has been a shooting, a victim shot in the leg. A suspect is a black male wearing blue jeans and no shirt.

Multiple Dothan Police units in the area. Dothan Fire Engine 1 ( Central ) is staging.

Dothan 911 Communications Center has reported no victim on the scene at this time. Dothan Police are searching to locate and we will update as more information is available.

Dothan Police Cpl. Jeremy Kendrick has just cleared the scene for Dothan Fire to respond to the scene at 1201 East Newton.

UNDERSTAND - different addresses given as police locate different information.

Dothan Police Sgt. Nelms is reporting that he is responding to the scene of the shooting. While the victim is at a different location, Police are seeking the location where the shooting occured which is on Bayshore.

Dothan Officers have a possible suspect name. We are not going to release the name at this time. Dothan Officers are working the area at this time.

Dothan Police have checked several different scenes. Dothan Police Patrol Sgt. Nelms reported they have possibly found a blood trial from the victim to Bayshore Street off the 1300 block of Lake Street.

Dothan Fire Engine 1 has reported back in service with no victim transport at this time. Dothan Police are still searching for the exact details.

Dothan Police Criminal Investigator Eggleston is on the scene investigating the circumstances. At this time we have no more information to offer. If anymore information becomes available we will update.
