ASHFORD:  Ashford Fire Department is on the scene of Ashford Academy in reference to a fire alarm. Ashford Fire Chief Jimmy Posey has reported "light smoke haze" but no active fire.

Matt Boster is responding and we will update.

Cowarts Volunteer Fire Department, Chief Roger Nall, is responding. Ashford Fire has one engine standing by a fire hydrant but not connect and lay fire hoses into the scene.

Ashford Fire Chief Jimmy Posey has instructed Cowarts Volunteer Fire to report to the rear of the school and bring their thermal imaginer inside the building.

Ashford Fire Chief Jimmy Posey has reported the school is re-occupying the north building of the school. The smoke haze is in the kindegarten building which they are keeping evacuated. That is where smoke haze is. There is no active fire!!

Ashford Fire Chief Jimmy Posey has reported that Ashford and Cowarts Fire have returned to service and all is OKAY at Ashford Academy.
