DOTHAN:    9:57 PM.  With Wiregrass Commons Mall packed the guy gotta be stupid.

Tonight being pre Black Friday with all of the sales brought out hundreds of people at all of the shopping places. And with that brings a lot of extra law enforcement.

Tonight at Wiregrass Commons Mall it was packed with people and extra police prescence. A Dothan Officer smelled dope. When the officer stopped the subject in the mall his feet told his brain....run.

Well he picked the wrong officer. This particular officer rides a bicycle and works out. The officer is part of the officers who goes into termite (problems) infested areas. So the officer was quick and tased the suspect before he got many steps away.

The subject has a history of running. He had dope on him. He now has a trip to jail.

Dothan Fire Engine 6 ( Napier Field Road ) and Pilcher Ambulance responded. However his transportation was a black and white police car.

The subject was disorderly in the police car. Wiregrass Commons Security has banned him from the mall for one year.

We have learned a little more about the arrest. The runner was not smart when his feet were told by his brain to run!  With both Dothan Officers McAllister and Sima there. As the guy started to run Officer McAllister tackled the suspect to the ground. 

As he was resisting by running and then when tackled he continued to resist. As McAllster and the suspect rolled over Officer Sima tazed the suspect.

The suspect's girlfriend was video taping the removal of dope from his pockets. We will see if that makes FACEBOOK.

And all of this within seconds. Both McAllister and Sima knew with the mall crowded this situation had to end within seconds. And they knew safety of the suspect, the crowd and officers had to be maintained. And it was.
