Columbia: Emergency responders have been dispatched to Elizabeth Road in Columbia to a structure  fire. Our information is that the Elizabeth Church is fully involved.

Pansey Volunteer Fire Department has been requested to provide mutual aid.

Updated @  9:55pm  Webb and Pansey Volunteer Fire Departments have arrived to assist the Columbia Volunteer Fire Department. The curch is located on a dirt road near Farley Nuclear Plant.

Updated @ 10:05pm  Responding units are being advised to stage on Hwy 95 as there is only room for two trucks on the dirt road.

Updated @ 10:15pm  The fire has been knocked down and firefighters are putting water on hot spots. The church appears to be a total lose - there is no roof remaining.

Updated @ 10:56  Columbia Fire, Rescue, and PD, Pansey Fire, Webb Fire, and Houston County Deputies all responded to the fire. The church is a total loss. The fire will be under investigation.
