UPDATED 11:20 AM With Scene Pictures Traffic Death In Dale County - South Of Newton

DALE COUNTY:   10:36 AM    Dale County Law Enforcement Agencies and Alabama Department of Law Enforcement - Troopers are on the scene of a traffic death on Highway 123 South of Newton.

A body was found side of the road. The preliminary information is the scene appears that a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle sometime during the night. The body was found this morning.

Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson and Trooper Post Commander Tracy Nelson and other investigating officers are on the scene at this time.

As more information develops we will update.

NOTE:   Drive Safe... Yesterday begins with a traffic accident in Henry County where the person later died. Last evening a Geneva County accident where a 10 year old child died. A pedestrian struck and killed in Dale County. And officials are conducting the investigation of the log truck verses vehicle on Highway 7.

We have had a lot of traffic deaths in 2016. Slow down and observe....
