GRACEVILLE FL:  Graceville Fire has called for mutual aid assistance to Rex Lumber Company in Graceville. They have requested assistance from surrounding fire departments to include Dothan Fire.

Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams has dispatched a ladder truck fire engine to assist.

Matt Boster is responding in a duel capacity. First he is a volunteer fireman with Southern Junction Fire which has been called to assist. If he can and has time he will put his news cap on. But only if it does not compromise his first obligation to help fight the fire.

Most panhandle fire departments in Jackson and northern Washington County are on the scene of Rex Lumber Company. Reports are the drying area of Rex Lumber Company is on fire. Rehobeth Fire and Southern Junction Fire responding along with Dothan Fire.

Multiple Fire Departments from all over the panhandle and southern Houston County are still on the scene of the fire. Firefighters have worked non stop to get control of the fire. The fire is 70%contained at this time and efforts have not stopped to get complete control. There are approximately 100 to 150 firefighters on scene fighting the fire, the graceville water system has been strained and tankers are having to go as far as campbellton to get water.
