UPDATED @ 11:42 PM
We believe the barricaded suspect killed in Conecuh County has something to do with a incident in Monroe County Alabama.
Monroeville is in southwest Alabama along US Highway 84 – the El Camino Corridor- historically one of the most important east-west routes – linking Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Monroeville is centrally located 90 miles north of Mobile, south of Montgomery, the state’s capital, and Pensacola, Florida. Monroeville is located 26 miles west of Interstate 65 and only 10 minutes east of the Alabama River. In addition to US Highway 84, State Highways 21, 41, and 47 pass through Monroeville.
However their streets are are rolled up. No one in the police or sheriff department knows anything and says will have to call back in the morning.
UPDATED @ 11:52 PM
While it appears the Monroeville Police Chief and Monroe County Sheriff do not believe the public needs to know, FACEBOOK information reveals more information.
A FACEBOOK post reveals: Update: a black guy killed his gf in Monroeville, AL and ran to a house couple miles north of guyoungtech in Castleberry, AL and took someone hostage. Havent heard anything about the hostage(s) but they got the guy.
So apparently the guy killed in a stand off with Troopers in Conecuh County was involved in a murder in Monroe County.
This has not been confirmed because no one in Monroeville a Police Department or Monroe County Sheriff Department know anything.
