DOTHAN: Dothan 911 has dispatched fire units and CARE Ambulance to a structure fire in the 300 block of Roosevelt Drive.
The first fire engine on the scene has reported light smoke at the residence. The second fire engine has caight the fire hydrant laying fire hose into the structure for ample water supply to the primary fire truck fighting the fire. The fire engine has reported an "all clear" as to people inside the reisdence. However there is a patient in the front yard that requires medical treatment. A Dothan Paramedic and CARE Ambulance is treating the patient.
Dothan Fireman have put a fan into the residence to exhaust smoke from the house.
Dothan Paramedics has reported the injured had "minor" abrasions only and no serious injuries.
Dothan Fireman on the inside the residence reports "all clear" on primary search. This report means no one found inside the residence as the fireman searched the residence. Behind the primary search a second fire crew checks and reports "all clear on seondary search" for anyone inside the residence.
Dothan Police have blocked Roosevelt Drive because of the fire engines and fire hoses that have been laid into the structure from the fire hydrant.

The address Dothan 911 dispatched Police, Fire and Medical to is is 307 Roosevelt Drive. The fireman inside have called for a ladder to be brought to them inside the residence.
The fireman on the scene have cut the power to the residence.
Dothan Police have closed from Westville to Roosevelt Drive because of the fire.

Dothan Fire Batallion Chief on the scene has called for a Dothan Fire Marshall to respond. When called, the Fire Marshall was already out of bed and enroute to the scene. NOTE: The Fire Marshall's are off and only called out to structure fires. Fire Marshall's do not work shifts like the fireman of work 24 hours straight and off 48 hours. They normally work Monday through Friday and are on call at night and on the weekend. Fire Marshall 4 ( I do not know his name ) had already heard this was a working fure and got out of bed, dressed and was rolling to the scene when they called for him.
Dothan Utilities has been called to the scene to make sure all power is off to the residence.

Dothan 911 Center has notified the Batallion Chief in command of the scene Dothan Fire has been on the scene of the fire for 20 minutes. At this point the on scene commander calls each and every fireman making sure they all answer and are all safe. By 12:47 AM all on scene fireman reported they were all well. Some fireman are reported to be trading out air pack bottles because they have exhausted the air on the backpack while inside the fire.
NOTE: My clock at home is about 4 minutes faster than the phone clock so my times are not exact.

Dothan Fire Batallon Chief in command of the scene has requested Dothan 911 to contact the American Red Cross to respond to the scene to assist the residents with immediate needs.
Dothan Fire Crews 1 ( Central ) and Dothan Fire Crew 3 ( Westgate ) are about to make re-enrty into the residence in an effort to bring the fire under control. So far the fire is not under control.
At 12:53 AM ( my clock ) DOthan Fire Marshall 4 is on the scene.

Dothan Fire Engine 3 which is inside the residence has reported they are till getting heat in the kitchen area which is near the origin of the fire. Fireman have pulled the crown molding and cieling area down and find no active fire. They are still searching for the source of the heat.
Dothan Utilities are now on the scene of the fire.

Dothan Fireman inside the resdience have called the fire "under control". The fireman assigned safety has called the outside of the fire all clear. The fireman has gone around the entire outside of the resdience and finds no hot spots or active fire.
Dothan Utilities has reported all utilties have been cut to the residence.

At 1:17 AM by my clock, however Dothan Communications gave over the radio 1:12 AM, the fireman on the scene called "los stopped". That means the fire is over and no more active fire and all is under control.
The Dothan Fire Marshall will work to determine the origin of the fire.
The on scene fireman will now begin clean up. All fire hoses which were laid from the fire hydrant into the fire trucks on the scene will now have to be emptied of water, cleaned an re-stacked on the fire trucks to be ready for the next fire. The fire engines will be re-filled with water to prepare for thenext call. The fire engines will be re-fuelded to be ready for the next fire. Several more hours of working before this call is over.
Dothan Fireman, in and through the American Red Cross, will make sure the immediate needs of the dispalced residents are handled before leaving the fire scene.
