UPDATED @ 12:09 AM Stolen Vehicle Reported - Now Vehicle Recovered

DOTHAN:   Dothan Police issued a lookout for a stolen vehicle from Academy Street moments ago. The vehicle is a 2007 Chevrolet Dooley worktruck, with Missouri license plates. The vehicle theft had just occured in the last few minutes.


Before I could get out of bed to post it, Dothan Police Lt. Will Benny has recovered the stolen vehicle on East Stough Street. The vehicle is abandoned.


Dothan Police is investigating the circumstances. One officer is still on the scene of Academy Street as Lt. Benny and other officers are on East Stough Street.

The vehicle recovered has been involved in a hit and run before being found. The hit and run is in front of 710 Stough Street.


There is a witness vehicle that Dothan Police are in the process of talking to.


As more information develops we will update.


Right now, 12:11 AM, Dothan Police and Dothan Fire are busy. Dothan Fire busy with medical calls.
