JACKSON COUNTY:   Emergency officials are on the scene in Grand Ridge Florida of a train derailment. Reports are it is near downtwon Grand Ridge.

Emergency officials and train officials are on the scene. At this time this all we know other than heavy equipment is being moved in to sit the train upright.

Channel 13 news is reported to be on the scene. No Jackson County news outlet has posted. We got calls from people in Grand Ridge about the incident. I do not have reporter on the scene.

The train derailment occured about 4 hours ago. It involved 7 to 8 cars of the CSX Railroad. There are no hazardous chemicals involved. There is about 300 pounds of PVC pellets on the ground,

Emergency units have pretty much cleared the scene. Railroad officials are working to re-reail the train and clean up the site.
