MONTGOMERY: You have to keep a close eye on the Alabama Legislature, and get a friend to keep a close eye.
Today at 11 AM there will be a Tourism Committee meeting in the Alabama Statehouse for a public hearing on the Senate Pro Tem Del Marsh gambling legislation.
Marsh is pushing for a statewide gambling vote. Even though Dothan- Houston County helped raise Marsh' Chief of Staff, Phillip Bryan, Marsh and Bryan are bound and determined to screw Houston County from the eligible facilities.
The meeting will be at 11 AM to discuss the legislation and moving it forward.
NOTE:
Phillip Bryan is the son of Lawson Bryan, former pastor of Dothan's First United Methodist Church. While growing up in Dothan Bryan was a product of the school system in Dothan.
This past year Marsh gave Bryan a $ 40,000.00 a year raise. He now makes $ 140,000.00 a year.
Bryan could fight for Dothan - Houston County. He ought to.

In a 4 to 3 vote, Houston County got screwed. Thanks to Alabama Senate Pro Tem Del Marsh and Senator Bobby Singleton who did not vote. The amendment to include Houston County in the Marsh gambling plan failed.
The Poarch Creek Indians have come with an amendment that will include Houston County. That amendment will bid out four locations. Each bidder will pay $ 250 million each, giving Alabama $ 1 billion dollars. That will solve the financial issue , immediately.
Your lying stupid Governor, Robert Bentley, saud Alabama needs $ 500 million to sustain services. The Poarch Creek Indian plan would give twice that amount to Alabama.
And probably, we will hear some more lies from Bentley.
The drama in Montgomery continues. Matt Boster went to cover the Marsh gambling public hearing that he did not want anyone to know about.
Matt will get the video up later today. He first has to walk through a car wash on the way home to get cleaned!
