UPDATED @ 2:19 PM DEVELOPING: Person Falls From Garbage Truck - Reports In Critical Condition

DALE COUNTY:   Ozark - Dale County 911 Center rolled emergency units about 1:15 PM to Watts Road in the Pinckard area where a worker is reported to have fell of the garbage truck.

According to reports the worker was drug by the garbage truck along the road after he fell off the truck.

Ozark Rescue responded to the scene. While transporting the patient from Pinckard to Flowers Hospital under "trauma alert", Dothan Fire Engine 8 ( Highlands ) was called mutual aid assistance to Ozark Rescue.

Reports are the patient is in critical condition at Flowers Hospital.

The accident is investigated by the Alabama State Troopers.

UPDATED @ 2:19 PM

Newton Volunteer Fire Department has been called to the accident scene to wash down the roadway.
