DOTHAN: Multiple Dothan Fire units responded to a report of a structure fire at 200 Junaluska. The first unit on scene advised fully involved. Battalion 2 has command. Dothan Police responded along with an ambulance. The road the fire is located on is closed due to emergency equipment and supply line blocking the road.

The fire is located at 205 Junaluska which runs off Denton Road two blocks north of Montgomery Highway.
A Chevrolet Avalanche apparently caughyt on fire under the carport. The fire quickly spread from the vehicle, burned a Sion, and the residence. The carport is totally gone and part of the roof of the residence fell on fireman when making an interior attack.
Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams is on the scene. Multiple Dothan Fire Engines and Pilcher Ambulance are on the scene.
Dothan Police Patrol Commander Todd David is also on the scene.

There was a dog inside the house. Dothan Fireman rescued the dog and it is safe and alive.
Dothan Fire Battalion Chief reports fire under control.
