REHOBETH:    A student had a Confederate Flag on "HIS" truck when he went to school. Reports are the Asst. Principal of Rehobeth told the student DO NOT bring the flag back to school property.


Folk have gone slam crazy over this flag. How Stupid we are as a society that we think the flag causes hate.


As a society we get so stupid and caught up on such stupid crap.


EXAMPLE as to us in Dothan Houston County:


(1) Remember when Hooter's was coming to Dothan? Remember all of the controversy that was caused about Hooter's, that it was going to cause excessive noise for the neighborhood. That is was going to cause crime and prostitution.


Oh, after a decade Hooter's closed. Not any complaints as to what the people complained about. It did not cause excessive noise or prostitution. All Hooter's caused was to show how stupid people can get over nothing.


(2) Remember when Flying J was coming to Dothan? Remember when a person got arrested for threatening Mayor Pat Thomas? Remember all the meetings in churches and community, all the accusations that Flying J was going to cause drug infestation, prostitution, and crime? And guess what - there has been more calls for issues at the Houston County Courthouse than Flying J.


It does not surprise me that schools go stupid. That is common and expected. However, as a society, all this flap about the flag - my response - get a real life and stop apathy about real issues.


Do Not carry your flag to school.

The person that came on campus at Rehobeth was not a student. And the person had the flag draped around them.


At campus' though, because I called and asked, do not allow the flags. It was a different county than Houston County. I would have called and asked Tim Pitchford but he does not like me!
