KINSEY:   Multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies are on Walden Road and Silverado Road in Kinsey. Reports of a shooting. A suspect has been stopped. Working on finding out the details at this time.

Houston County Sheriff Sgt. Jackie Smith has just cleared for rescue to come into the scene.

The location of the victim is on Lynn Jarvis Road or Carvelle Drive in Kinsey. Initinial reports are a female has been shot and it is possibly law enforcement related.

Headland Rescue has been dispatched to the scene. The Mayor of Kinsey has requested the Alabama Bureau of Inveswtigation to the scene.

UNCONFIRMED Preliminary information, two Kinsey Police Officers and the Mayor of Kinsey, who was riding with the police officers, responded to a burglary in progress. UNCONFIRMED reports are a suspect vehicle came towards the police officers and shots were fired. UNCONFIRMED reports are a female was shot multiple times. The condition is not known at this time.

The female victim is being transported to a Dothan hospital at this time. The condition is not known at this time.

Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes and Houston County Sheriff Chief Deputy Donald Valenza are on the scene.

The actual scene is Lynn Jarvis Road as to the location of the burglary. The female is reported to have attempted to run over officers and flee from the scene.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is in charge of the investigation because the shooting is law enforcement invlolved.
