REHOBETH: Houston County Sheriff 911 has dispatched multiple fire units to a shed fire on Malvern Rad in rehobeth and 1/2 mile from Rehobeth High School.
When fire units from Rehobeth Volunteer Fire and Taylor Volunteer Fire arrived on the scene the shed was fully engulfed in fire.
Houston County Sheriff Deputies have closed Malvern Road and South Park area because of fire hoses being laid into the fire for ample supply of water.
Reports are the smoke can be seen from Highway 231 South.

The fire is contained. The fire is in the 9300 block of Malvern Road.

Fire fighter were able to get control of the burning shed quickly. The shed was fully involved when the first unit arrived on scene. A near by garage and fence and house received damage from the heat. Siding was melted on both. As a precaution two elderly people were asked to evacuate while firefighters checked their home for any fire in the home due to the external damage. No one was injured in the fire and the couple has returned to their home. The cause of the fire isn't known at this time.
