ALABAMA:    On election night, Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange was the defendant in a lawsuit.

The suit filed by Dothan Attorneys Steve Etheridge and Dusty Fowler, was filed on behalf of Alabama State Representative Dexter Grimsley.

While the lawsuit is not a class action suit, it is filed on behalf of ALL the citizens of the State of Alabama. Filed to protect the citizens in the Constitution of the State of Alabama.

There is real legislation – and there is legislation which I refer to as MEDIA LEGISLATION. The Alabama Legislature passed legislation which stopped what was called “double dipping”. That is where someone employed by the State of Alabama can not hold public office.

That is the case with State Representative Dexter Grimsley.

Grimsley serves as a Juvenile Officer with Henry County. It is a State Funded position and he works at the Henry County Courthouse.

With the Republican takeover of the Alabama Legislature, and the cons they pulled for MEDIA SPOTLIGHT, they stopped several things. One was PAC to PAC transfers. But look at the elaborate scheme that the architect of the ethical legislation is under indictment for – Mike Hubbard.

Well one was to stop any person in the legislature from working for the State of Alabama. However, that apparently is a Constitutional Amendment. That requires a vote of the people of the State of Alabama. There has never been a vote. Therefore, the law appears to be a MEDIA law to look good without legality to pass the legal challenge.

The lawsuit filed by the Dothan Attorneys will possibly stop Grimsley and others from loosing their primary source of income,  until decided in court.

UPDATED @ 3:02 PM

Today, the Alabama Administrative Office of the Courts, has TERMINATED Henry County Probation Officer Dexter Grimsley. That action was done pursuant to the re-election of the DEMOCRAT Dexter Grimsley as Alabama State Representative.

Grimsley takes leave time from his job as the Henry County Probation Officer to serve in the Alabama Legislature. That means he is not DOUBLE DIPPING. Grimsley actually used Ethics!!! In other words, he was not paid for both jobs at the same time.

The Dothan Attorneys has added as defendants - Alabama Governor Robert Bennett and Alabama Administrative Office of the Courts.

FOLKS - Grimsley has not been "double dipping". He saves his leave time and vacation time for the time the Alabama Legislature meets.
