HOUSTON COUNTY:  12:30 PM.  Houston County Sheriff Department just ended a two hour stand off on East Saunders Road near the railroad.

The Sheriff Department received information that someone was being held hostage in a double wide home in the 1100 block of East Saunders Road.

The SRT Team of the Sheriff Department was on the scene and the drone overhead.

Just before 12:30 two males and one female exited the residence. The investigation is continuing. More details later.

Houston County Sheriff Investigators continue the investigation from the stand off this morning.

Around 9:30 AM Houston County Sheriff 911 Center was notified via another law enforcement agency of a possible burglary in progress in the 1100 block of East Saunders Road. Deputies responded, and as they responded additional information began to flow to the responding deputies of a possible hostage situation.

When deputies arrived there were no signs of forced entry and no one came to the door of the residence. But the information flowing to the Sheriff Department was a male subject was possibly holding someone hostage.

At this point multiple Sheriff Deputies, Criminal Investigators, Sheriff Donald Valenza and Command Staff Chief Deputy Jeff Carlisle and Captain Bill Rafferty responded.

As more information was flowing, the SRT ( Special Response Team ) and the Drone Unit was dispatched to the scene.

The Sheriff Department blocked the road and looked into the windows via the Drone Unit. Sheriff Deputies through a loud speaker asked the people inside to exit the residence.

A little before 12:30 PM three individuals, two white males and one white female exited the residence.

Further investigation has been on going. A second female is not accounted for and information is that foul play could possibly be involved.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies have crime scene tape around the East Saunders Road residence. The search has taken them to other areas on and around Hodgesville Road.

Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigators are conducting more investigation. Until the missing female is located the Criminal Investigators will continue the investigation and searches.
