DALE COUNTY:   Should Dale - Geneva County District Attorney Kirke Adams and Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson begin a criminal investigation into the Dale County Commission?


Life and safety in Dale County is a risk and my answer is YES.


Moments ago there was a medical emergency, a person who was possibly having a heart attack. It was in Dale County on County Road 536. Clearly not in the corporate city limits of any municipality.


The dispatcher said on the radio, Ozark EMS can not go, Pilcher Ambulance can not go, Echo Rescue can not go, Headland Rescue can not go. The dispatcher reported they are going to attempt to get Abbeville Rescue to go.


I picked up the phone and called Joey Pilcher and Jason Trammell of Pilcher Ambulance as I listened to this. Abbeville was rolling. Pilcher's was slammed with calls. I informed Pilcher and Trammell of what was taking place in Dale County.


Pilcher and Trammel shuffled some things around and got a ambulance rolling. Abbeville was asked did they want Pilcher's to handle or they continue. Abbeville said they were 36 miles away and Pilcher's could be there faster.


LADIES and GENTLEMAN of Dale County, District Attorney Adams and Sheriff Olson:  For well over a year Dale County Commission Chairman Mark Blakenship and members of the Dale County Commission, the Mayors of Pinckard and Midland City have been aware there is a problem on emergency medical care. 


Pilcher Ambulance has been feeling the void because Pilcher and Trammel want all to be served with the best medical care possible. But they are a private business.


The Dale County Commission and the Mayors have sit on their buttocks and done nothing. And today's call, well it is in the county. It is Mark Blakenship and the Dale County Commissioners responsibility.


Because they have failed to work out something with Pilcher Ambulance to cover the territory, and they have failed to make adequate arrangements for qualified medical assistance to the people they serve, that is Malfeasance of Office. If someone dies that could be Criminally Negligent Homicide. Their reckless actions of the duties of their office to provide qualified care caused the death of another.


Life is not something you play with. And it seems the south end of Dale County the leaders are negligence in providing for your safety and well being.


THANKS to Pilcher's for making it happen and sending a ambulance.


BY THE WAY...it costs a lot of money to maintain and operate the ambulances. A lot of calls Pilcher's makes they do not get paid for.


And the time has come for one of tow things to happen: (1) Mark Blakenship, the Dale County Commission, the Mayors of Pinckard and Midland City to get with Pilcher Ambulance and fix the problem TODAY, or (2) District Attorney Kirke Adams and Sheriff Wally Olson to put their buttocks in the Dale County Jail when someone dies because they could not get an ambulance.

Midland City has ordered a ambulance and recruited some volunteers to run a ambulance service. They are waiting on the ambulance that has been ordered. The Midland City Council has worked to take care of their people.


This ambulance is for the people of Midland City.
