HOUSTON COUNTY:   4:39 PM  Houston County Sheriff 911 has dispatched multiple law enforcement, fire and medical units to a motor vehicle accident, 11000 block of Highway 231 South near DHodge Road and Big Creek.

Multiple emergency units are rolling.

Madrid Fire is on the scene. They report a semi in the ditch off the road. There is reported to be one patient with lacerations on the head. The injuries are not reported to be serious. The accident is in the northbound lane of traffic.

This morning one was another accident involving a semi and was just south of this location on the southbound lane of traffic.

Madrid Fire requested REA be notified of this accident because vehicle was against the utility pole.

Emergency units on the scene have requested Dothan Fire Haz Mat Team be dispatched. They have also requested Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management be dispatched to the scene because over 100 gallons of fuel is leaking into the creek.
