34 Central has been dispatched in Geneve to an accident between a car and an 18 Wheeler with entrapment. Deputy is on scene.
UPDATE: 34 Central dispatched Geneva Fire, Rescue, and Police to a motor vehicle crash involving an 18 wheeler just west of the Alabama State Highway 52 and Geneva County Road 41 intersection. 34 Central also advised units that a Geneva County Deputy was on scene and advised to step it up. Emergency units arrived on scene to find a vehicle that had ran into the back of a semi trailer. The driver of the small passenger car was critically injured in the crash.
Geneva Rescue advised 34 Central they needed AirHeart to be enroute. 34 Central immediately contacted AirHeart and got them enroute. AirHeart 3 was the air ambulance that responded. When 34 Central dispatched them, they were given a 20 minute ETA. AirHeart 3 arrived near the scene and transported the patient to Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. The driver of the car had Critical Injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers Office.
Dothan --A Florida woman who was injuredTuesday in a two-vehicle crash in Geneva County died this morning at Flowers Hospital. The crash occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m.yesterday on Alabama 52 at the 33 mile marker, about two miles east of Geneva. Lela Adrianne Davis, 32, of Bonifay, Fla., was traveling west in a 2000 Ford when she ran into the back of a westbound 1994 GMC tractor-trailer. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
