WICKSBURG: Houston County Sheriff 911 ha dispatched Wicksburg Fire and Wicksburg Rescue to reports of a structure fire.
The location is 776 Sandbed Road in Wicksburg. Reports are no flames at this time just heavy smoke.
Emergency units are rolling.

Matt Boster reported to me this is a working structure fire. This is a two story home.

Dothan Fire is on the scene assisting Wicksburg Fire. The house was occupied and fireman have just removed the victim and doing emergency medical treatment at this time.

Matt Boster is on the scene. He is suiting up and about to assist with the fire.
My instructions to Matt, quickly snap a couple of pictures and throw the camera down and begin assisting.
I am south of Orlando Florida on interstate posting as I travel down the highway. NOT DRIVING!

The fire is out. The victim is sitting up and breathing. Was transported by ambulance, emergency, to a Dothan Hospital.
Fireman did CPR on a dog while on the scene.

Firefighters made quick entry into the home and was able to locate the victim in an upstars bedroom. Firefighters emoved her from the home and she was rushed to the hospital. Her dog that has been by her side for several years was also brought out and firefighters worked on the dog and then it was rushed to a vet in Daleville and has is also doing fine. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
The Wicksburg Fire Chief would like to thank everyone that came to the fire and helped out.
