DOTHAN:   4:58 PM  Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched police, fire and EMS to Highway 231 South at DHodge Road to a motor vehicle accident. Reports are vehicle is overturned with entrapment.

Multiple emergency units have responded to the scene. Dothan Fire units were called to the scene to multual aid assistance the units on the scene. Reports are three patients with at least three injuries.

Multiple ambulance units from Pilcher Ambulance have responded to the scene. Hodgesville Volunteer Fire and Rehobeth Rescue responded to the scene. Houston County Sheriff Deputies and Alabama Department of Law Enforcement - Trooper Division has responded.

The mutual aid assistance is for three patients, one is reported to have had head trauma.

Matt Boster is on the scene. He is first assisting on the scene as a volunteer fireman because patient care is first.

Since last night Southeast Alabama Medical Center has been on "all patient diversion". Earlier today there was a notification that SAMC was off "all patient diversion".

However in this incident the notification system had not been updated and emergency units were transporting the critical patients to Flowers. After the emergency units were transporting Flowers they were diverted back to SAMC.

DOTHAN POST -- A single-vehicle crash at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, has claimed the life of a Tallahassee, Fla. woman and injured another. Ray Catherine Pinkney, 65, was killed when the 2000 Ford Explorer in which she was a passenger in left the roadway and overturned. Pinkney, who was not using a seatbelt, was transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan where she was pronounced dead at 8 p.m. last night.  The driver of the Explorer, Lucretia Westfield, 47, of Troy, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. The crash occurred on U.S. 231 at the 5.5 mile marker, seven miles south of Dothan. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
