DOTHAN:  At this time we understand Federal Investigators and Dothan Police are at Oncology Supply on Horace Shephard Road in Dothan. According to sources they are at the pharmaceutical department.

Dothan Police are assisting. The operation is a Federal operation.

No further details are known.

This morning Federal Agents executed a search warrant for a small portion of Oncology Supply on Horace Shephard Road in Dothan. The Federal Agents were assisted by Dothan Police Department. The assistance was basically Dothan Poice Department standing by to make sure all was okay and if the Federal Agents needed any assistance. The investigation does not involve Dothan Police Department other than to assist them in whatever needs they might have.

The Dothan Eagle spoke with a spokesman with the Federal Agency. The Office of Inspector General and U.S. Food and Drug Administration did execute a search warrant. They would not give any additional information.

The spokesman is reported to have said it is an on going investigation. The mission of their agency is to minimize waste, fraud, and abuse in programs within the Department of Health and Human Services, the two largest being that of Medicare and Medicaid.

A spokesman with Oncology Supply is reported to say the search warrant contained a small portion of the business. However they continue to be open for business. The statement said Oncology Supply does obey the laws and is operating legally.
