UPDATED @ 6:46 PM BREAKING NEWS: Two Car Wreck on US 84 at the Dothan Driving Range

Bay Springs Fire, Dothan Fire, Wicksburg Rescue and Houston County Deputies are on scene of a wreck on US 84 at the Dothan Driving Range. Two people were injured and taken to the hospital by ambulance. Dothan Fire Medics have called for a Trauma Alert. The area where the wreck is located is closed until all can be cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched emergency units to Highway 84 West at W.G. Bond Road to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. On dispatch one vehicle was reported to have rolled over several times. The call was dispatched as a serious/critical motor vehicle accident.

Rolling to the scene Deputies from Houston County Sheriff Department, Wicksburg Rescue, Bay Springs Volunteer Fire and Alabama State Troopers. Bay Springs mutual aid requested Dothan Fire to respond. Dothan Fire Engine 8 ( Highlands ) responded to the scene. Dothan Fire Marshall Chris Ethereidge was near the scene and responded.

The vehicle accident involved two trucks. The red truck is reported to have been occupied by two males and rolled several times. The trailer it was pulling came off with the latch bar down and a pin through it. The trailer hit ball was still on the trailer hitch of the truck. The white truck, occupied by one person, received heavy impact damage to the right rear behind the cab. Impact was hard enought the right rear tire was off the truck.

Initial scene reports are the white truck pulled across into the path of the red truck while belonded to Bob Woodall ( CALL BOB ) Air Care Systems. The red truck was east bound on Highway 84 towards Dothan.

Wicksburg Rescue transported three patients to SAMC with what is reported to be non life threatening injuries.

Bob Woodall had his son Brandon and about 5 of their staff on the scene in a short period of time to assist with clean up while he and Cal Turner reported to the hospital to check on the employees and their condition. Schulman Wrecker Service was the wrecker of choice on the scene.

Alabama State Trooper Jason McAllister investigated the accident.
