PINCKARD AL:   The last several days, weeks and/or months it seems CHAOS IN PINCKARD has been under development. Ths weekend that CHAOS has hit the fan.

Today long time Pinckard Mayor Fred McNabb gave the Pinckard Police Chief, Arrington, a choice. The Mayor is reported to have told the Chief to take a week off and turn in his resignation or be terminated. According to Chief Arrington, he told the Mayor he could terminate him then.

With that said, Mayor McNabb terminated Chief Arrington.

It seems tha chaos surrond the Police Department, the Municipal Court Judge Mac Borland and the Magistrate for Pinckard Court, Dana Courtney.

The choas, as we have found out, swirls around a traffic ticket which Chief Arrington wrote.. Some words  and/or numbers were placed on the ticket. There is conflict on who wrote the words. The conflict on the word was not with the decision maker, THE JUDGE, but rather the Magistrate and Mayor.

Reports, UNCONFIRMED BY MAYOR, are the Mayor sided with the Magistrate and not Chief Arrington. However, Chief Arrington denies that he added the words or numbers of ticket.

Then, apparently,  it is alleged the Magistrate told the defendant he did not have to appear on a ticket which required court appearance. Municipal Court Judge Mac Borland wrote a letter to the Magistrate getting on her case for violating his instructions.

Judge Borland has resigned as Judge.

Borland cites in his letter that he did not like a situation where trust was an issue.

That CHAOS led to today's chain of events.

Some are posting notes around Pinckard they intend to address the Pinckard Town Council on Tuesday evening about the matter.

We are looking into the matter and will see what develops.

UPDATED @ 6:55 PM

We received a phone call and confirmed with a source, the Town of Pinckard hired a hand writing expert. According to our UNCONFIRMED information, the expert concluded that the handwriting on the ticket was that of Chief Arrington.

Moments ago we spoke with Pinckard Mayor Fred McNabb.

Mayor McNabb is upset the Town of Pinckard is being held in a negative light. Mayor McNabb stated the Chief was terminated for Insubordination. McNabb said a lot of facts and circumstances exist and he has done his best to take all steps necessary to get to the truth.

Mayor McNabb takes issue with the fact that he had taken sides. McNabb also disagrees in some comments in Borland's letter.

Some details the Mayor can not discusss because of personnel issues being involved.

McNabb stresses that the Town of Pinckard is a great town which is quiet and peaceful. McNabb does not like the controversy and working to get all settled.

Remember, there are three sides to every story - HIS, HERS and the TRUTH!
